Overall my dining experience here has been good. I've had the egg breakfast and bagel with lox. The bagels are not NY style but they're decent. They offer several different cream cheese options too. The main criticism I have is that they only serve brewed coffee which is so watered down unless you get the dark roast (slightly less watery but still not great), they do not serve espresso coffee drinks. They really should do better with the coffee. The place is big and although the line can be long at times, it moves quickly and seating spaces are usually available.

Very popular spot! Long line on weekends but they move it fast. Great food and friendly staff! The french toast was delicious. Overall highly recommend, Bagel Central is a Bangor establishment!

Criminal it's not 5 stars. First thing you'll notice is the sign. "No preservatives." Next thing you'll see is how packed it is (we went on a Sunday at 9 am). No problem finding a place to sit and waited maybe ten minutes. Had a steak, egg, cheese, mushroom bagel and I can honestly say it was the best bagel I've ever had hands down. Will be back tomorrow.

So, solid breakfast in a town without a lot of solid breakie spots. All of the staff is friendly so they score on service as well. Ambiance? Not so much. This place is LOUD! It's popular, crowded, and just not a spot you want to go during peak times if you want to actually converse with someone. We decided to order our food to go. It took us 30 minutes to wait in line to order and then wait in a different line to get the food. This would normally pull my score down to 3 stars, but my BLT with avocado was so yummy! My husband and son liked theirs as well. I definitely recommend Bagel Central, but go early or late if you want to eat inside.

I found this place here on Yelp! We were looking for a breakfast spot after my hubby's surgery. Yelp recommended this place and we made our way over!! Located in an older industrial looking renovated part of town. Really cute and VERY busy!!! The line went fast and there were so many options. I had the bagel which with ham. It was super. The onion bagel with veggie cream cheese was so good that I stood back in line to get a to go order. Friendly service overall 10 stars

Classic little bagel spot. I've heard about this place for years from my extended family and I'd say it lived up to expectations. It was a really tasty breakfast sandwich. Solid prices and has a vintage feel to it too. I'd go back

Came to bagel central for a sandwich and a half dozen to take with me. I love coming here to this cozy and popular spot whenever I visit my future in-laws here in Bangor! There was a line when I arrived but it went quickly. I opted for the Standpipe sandwich with cream cheese instead of dressing on it. I LOVED the garlic bagel, I'm hoping to go back and grab some to take home with me to California to freeze until the next time I can get to Bangor!

We are from the NY/NJ/PA area and think we know what a good bagel is. We were pleased with what we got. I ordered a salt bagel and I am a self proclaimed salt bagel officianado. Most bagelries will have too much salt on the bagel. In my opinion, there only needs to be a light sprinkling of salt that is baked in. Bagel Central delivered! I was super happy with the sandwich which included a light spread of veggie cream cheese. My husband's breakfast burrito was good but would have been better if he had eaten it right away. We brought it back to our hotel room and then worked out. Unfortunately, our room did not have a microwave to heat it up. Highly recommend ordering from here.

Quite literally the BEST bagels. I'm from Jersey, so I know a good bagel and these are phenomenal. The onion biyalis and the whole wheat everything are my favorites. They have vegan bagels, too (no egg). My husband loves the cranberry water bagels. They also carry Udis gluten free bagels. They have great coffee, make fantastic bagel sandwiches. Lots of soups, sides, a variety of amazing cream cheeses.
